Terms of Service

Last updated July 29, 2026. This page is maintained by the Kid Tapp™ owner (The Brown Family) and explains the rules for using our app and website.

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Kid Tapp™ (the "Service"), operated by The Brown Family ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and enter into a contract with us.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a school, daycare, or organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. If you are a parent or guardian, you confirm that you are authorized to allow the child under your care to use the Service.

2. Age guidance and children's use

Kid Tapp™ is designed for children ages 1–10. We split content into age-appropriate paths so little learners see activities that match their developmental stage.

  • Under 7: Younger children should use the Service with adult supervision. A parent, guardian, or teacher should help create the account, set the PIN, and choose activities.
  • Ages 7–10: Older children may use the Service more independently, but parents should still review account settings and screen-time limits regularly.
  • Under 13: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Accounts for children under 13 must be created and managed by a parent, guardian, or educator.

Parents and guardians are responsible for the child's account activity, including progress, rewards, device use, and compliance with these Terms. See our Privacy Notice for details on how we handle children's data.

3. The Service

Kid Tapp™ provides interactive learning activities, games, videos, printable worksheets, music, rewards, and child-simulation tools for early learning. Features, content, and pricing may change over time as we improve the Service.

We may pause, limit, or remove features for maintenance, safety, or legal reasons. We try to minimize disruption but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for lawful, personal, educational, or family purposes. You must not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose;
  • harass, bully, impersonate, or mislead other users, children, or our team;
  • upload, share, or request inappropriate content, including violence, hate speech, sexual material, or private information about children;
  • attempt to access another user's account without permission;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, data-mine, or probe the Service or its assets;
  • circumvent security, PIN, or parental controls, or tamper with the Anti-Clone Guard or other protective features;
  • use bots, scripts, or automation to interact with the Service in ways that mimic or replace real child play;
  • interfere with the Service's infrastructure, networks, or other users' access.

5. Platform rules

To keep Kid Tapp™ safe and fun for kids, every user must follow these platform rules. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent termination of access.

  • Be kind. Treat Tappy, Grandpa Star, Grandma, and other characters with the same respect you would show a friend.
  • Keep it safe. Do not share real names, addresses, phone numbers, passwords, PINs, or school details with anyone in or through the Service.
  • Protect the app. Do not remove, hide, or interfere with safety features, branding, copyright notices, or the lock screen / watermark.
  • Play fairly. Do not exploit bugs, cheat, or use external tools to fake progress or rewards.
  • Respect ownership. Characters, artwork, worksheets, music, videos, and code belong to Kid Tapp™. Do not copy, clone, or resell them.
  • Ask a grown-up. If something feels wrong, confusing, or unsafe, stop and ask a parent, guardian, or teacher.

6. Accounts, PINs, and parental controls

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials, parent PIN, and child profiles secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

Keep your PIN private. Do not share it with children if you want to restrict purchases, settings changes, or access to certain features. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, logo, star emblem, characters (Tappy, Grandpa Star, Grandma, and others), artwork, animations, music, videos, worksheets, code, UI designs, and text, is owned by The Brown Family / Kid Tapp™ and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal or single-classroom educational purposes. You may print worksheets for personal or single-classroom use. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, publicly display, sublicense, or use the Service or its assets to train machine-learning models without written permission.

8. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for our orders. Paddle handles customer service, billing, tax, and returns.

Payment, billing, subscription renewal, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. See our Refund Policy for app-specific refund guidance.

9. Disclaimer and warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Kid Tapp™ is a learning aid, not a replacement for school, professional childcare, medical advice, or parental judgment. We recommend balancing screen time with offline play and adult interaction.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, repeated policy violations, or to protect the safety of children or the Service. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is capped at the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (such as fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence).

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Brown Family / Kid Tapp™ is established, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
